Greatest Kailash

Often referred to as GK, Greater Kailash is easily one of the safer places in the whole of Delhi. It’s an affluent residential neighborhood. It is divided into two zones, namely Parts 1 and 2, located around a section of the Outer Ring Road.

I'm a student of BBA in IP University and have been living here for past 20 years. I like working out in gym and playing cricket. This area is great in terms of offering great hangout points and eating joints. I live in this area since childhood hence feels very closely related to it. The best is, Zutish Cafe. Rest all are mainstream eating joints and food chains. Facilities are good, and so as commuting. Though Violet Line Metro sucks but availability of Metro and good supply of DTC buses in almost every locality makes life easier here. The real estate rates are pretty high here. But it all is worth because the quality of life is also relatively high. Water supply is not very great. Plus not all the eating joints, few of them are really overrated. This place is the charm of Delhi!

Highly safe neighborhood with an upper-class crowd. Well manicured parks and streets. Well lit at night to ensure maximum security.

Daily needs stores are at walking distance ranging from, grocery to laundry. Not a problem with the availability of buses or autos. But metro is pretty far away.

I have been living here since the past 22 years. Everything is available here, just at a walk-able distance. There are all types of shops that a dedicated shopper requires. There are shops for all major branded goods, even Nehru Place, the major computer market is nearby and there are also flea markets for the economical shoppers. But it gets too crowded in the evenings. The area faces water shortage in some quarters during summer and water logging in some quarters during monsoon. To eat out, there's Khana Khazana, many Agarwal restaurants, many dhabas, various street food options, Mughlai cuisine in Tughlakabad and a dedicated fish market for the sea food junkies. You get last mile connectivity through buses, e-rickshaws, autos, sharing autos and Govindpuri metro station is also nearby.

The availability of public transport is good, except for the metro which is awful. The streets and parks are very well maintained. Plenty of general utility stores are present in the vicinity. There should be more petrol pumps.

In & Around

Burger King. Enough said. The food in GK is just amazing! You get everything. You can mix it up with some Mexitup (that’s Mexican if you didn’t get it)! There’s the brilliant Zu Tisch that offers European and Mediterranean delights, real yum. Whether it’s Zizo or Sakley’s The Mountain café, food dates here are a must. Wafflesome is the perfect place to end this gastronomic journey.

I've been living here for 20 years now and it is a green and spacious space to live. Excellent connectivity. Decent crowd. Everything available on call. A good south Delhi area. What I don't like is the proximity to areas like Gahri and Sant Nagar. Also the area is near to Amar colony and Kailash colony to hang out and eat out.For commute, autos to taxis, everything is available. The nearest metro station is Kailash Colony metro station.

You should love where you live and I for one love where I live, the best part about this place is the good presence of utilities and the fact that everything is no nearby. The crowd can be extremely unruly here especially after 9pm, Amar Colony is nearby for eating out but that's about it really. Commute could be better in terms of metro services but autos and rickshaws are easily available

I'm a college student and have been living here for 5 years. I love the surrounding and the beauty of the place. Epicuria is the closest hangout to the vicinity. For commute, autos are available in the area. There is nothing I dislike in the area and it's a beautiful place to live in.
