AKA Afghan Nagar

Lajpat Nagar is a fun and cozy suburb in South Delhi! It’s also referred to as Afghan Nagar by many because of its sizeable Afghan migrant population. It is popular amongst Delhiites and tourists for the grand Central Market that’s buzzing with people at all times of the day. (Not to be confused with the Lajpat Nagar in Ghaziabad)

I'm a student of FORE School of Management and a local resident of Lajpat Nagar. I enjoy reading. This place has easy access to all the utilities. The eat-outs cater to every taste. The commute facilities are very good. All modes of transport are easily available. The sizes of houses are very small. But, it's at the center of South Delhi.

I'm a student of Lady Shri Ram College and have been living here from past 3 years. I enjoy hanging out with friends, reading and music. I like the crowd, Metro and the place is close to popular markets and malls. There are good hang-out places such as Amar colony market food hangouts, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, McD, KFC, etc. It has amazing transit facilities, thanks to Metro nearby!

I was born and brought up in Lajpat Nagar. I'm presently a student as well as love games and movies. It's a peaceful and "velli" society. There's a whole variety of people here. You can interact at your own risk. It has all the commuting facilities such as Metro, buses and autos. It's my home. It has its quirks but I like it nonetheless. For a foodie, you'll get EVERYTHING!

In & Around

You obviously get all your KFC, Domino’s, McDonald’s, Subway, Dunkin Donuts quota filled here. Given the Afghan population, you also get to have a rendezvous with heavenly delicacies in places like Afghan Darbar! There are some other street places too that you should try!  Also now that we are talking about street food, the momos here are great, especially in LN II.

I'm a college student and have been studying in DU for the past year. Everything is really accessible here within a 1km radius. There's nothing bad really but the lack of parking space and the roads are congested as well. Restaurants like Barbecue nation and hangouts like Eros cinemas are very popular. The commute is good the metro station is nearby and bus connectivity is also good

I have lived all my life here and spent 18 years of my life at this place and enjoyed my time with friendly locals and the luxurious locality. I like everything about this area. It is connected to bus stand, local markets, shopping malls, railways station, local vegetable and fruit markets. Locals are extremely generous. Full security as the area is under cctv watch and two well-trained guards are at the gates. There are many food joints at every corner of the streets. One can call it a "foodie paradise" as you can enjoy a variety of cuisines at reasonable prices. Because of my love for this place I cannot live anywhere else.

I'm a local resident of Kailash Colony since birth. I'm a student of IMT Ghaziabad and like playing football and video games, watching movies and sketching. About this place, I like the posh locality, greenery, markets and hang-out places. There are eateries such as Big Chill, Kasbah, Maxims, Salims, Cafe 21, etc. The commute facilities are good too but the commute to Gurgaon is bad. Schools and Metro are also nearby. It's one of the best places to live in!
