Laxmi Nagar is situated in the East of Delhi [Vikas Marg, to be precise]. Famous for its Mangal Bazar [Tuesday Market], Laxmi Nagar sees a crazy number of natives come down to the streets for a roadside shopping bonanza every mangalvar.
Delhi Street food comes alive in the lanes of Laxmi Nagar. Golgappa, Samosa, Jalebi, Chhole Bhature, Chhole Kulche, Aaloo Chaat, Papri Chaat, Aaloo tikki and so many other tempting delights! Especially if you are out on a Tuesday and are with a child, the inner child in you is definitely going to want to come out! You get roti-sabzi and daily meals in little shacks too!
I am living here from last 15 years. I came here when I was 8 years old. Spent my school and college time here. Made good friends. I am a SDE in Amazon currently. Enjoy playing computer games, card games, watching movies.
Low cost market & high standard people
You will get everything you want near to your home. You don't have to go any far. Very good commute options with two metro stations near my home and bus stand, of course.
I remember some hangout place like China Town, where you will get very good "chilly potato" and kathi rolls from Charaungi Lane and how can I forget V3S mall where you will get everything.
Negatives would be the parking problems as it's quite crowded. You cant park in front of your home. You should have parking at your place. In case you don't, you have to keep your car at some paid parking places.
