I've been staying at a rented place in Vasant Vihar for the last 4 years pursuing my higher studies at Law faculty of Delhi University. I am an avid reader, food lover and travel monger. The place has a very nice ambience, chilled people, adequate parking space, no blackouts and I have never personally faced water shortage. Transport facilities are adequate. DTC buses ply at regular intervals to Basant Lok market (or Priya Market). Best hangout places are Alkauger (amazing Mughlai food), beer cafe, Pizza Hut, KFC and McD. Though the groceries are really expensive, it's a safe and chill place to live in.

I am currently a third year student at St. Stephen's College. I have been living in vasant kunj since I was born, which makes it 21 years. I enjoy photography and bird watching. The vasant kunj has everything such as schools, hospitals, shopping malls. It’s really close to the airport and the crowd is also really good. Parking is a big pain. There is a water shortage in some sectors. The vasant kunj road expansion which has been taking place for the last 5 years has increased the traffic. You can hang out at places such as DLF Promenade. There also, there are a lot of farm houses which have a restaurant of their own. Transportation is really good. Autos are everywhere. Every 10 min, there is a bus or a mini bus going to the metro. The auto guys never say no if you want to travel within vasant kunj or beyond. It’s an amazing place to live. The 2 problems are the traffic which will decrease if the road project gets completed and the parking place which has no solution as each family has 2 or 3 cars and the colonies were built for each family to have one car. It’s the hub of south Delhi and the south of south Delhi!

Congestion is bit of an issue and the crowd is just horrible. But the good part is that it's quite close to the metro station.

I'm a student of JNU and have been living here for last 2 years. I enjoy cricket and socialising. I like the natural wilderness in the place. There is a 24 x 7 food court available for foodies. The commute facilities are awful. Green JNU, Clean JNU!

I work as Business Technology Consultant in ZS Associates and have been living here since a year. I like dancing and playing squash. I like the locality here in a way that you can find everything needed for your daily life. You can hang out at places such as, DLF Promenade and DLF Ambience mall. Airport Metro and Yellow Line metro are always available for your commute. I just don't like the on-going constructions.

I'm an undergraduate of Kamala Nehru College. I enjoy theatre and music. I like the ambience and the crowd here. There are plenty of good eat-outs and hang-outs here. The commute facilities are okay too. It's a classy place!

In & Around

With a gargantuan student population ( courtesy Munirka’s proximity to JNU and IIT Delhi ), this place has managed to stir up a variety of affordable eateries. From little dhaba type places to roadside rolls and chowmein places, you will find it all. Udupi, the South Indian food giant, also holds a special place in the lanes of Munirka.

Meet Richa!

Best place for students to live with wide range of accommodation near JNU & IITD. Nearest Metro station is Hauz Khas.
