With a gargantuan student population ( courtesy Munirka’s proximity to JNU and IIT Delhi ), this place has managed to stir up a variety of affordable eateries. From little dhaba type places to roadside rolls and chowmein places, you will find it all. Udupi, the South Indian food giant, also holds a special place in the lanes of Munirka.
I have been living in this area for 20 years. I am a localite and study in Lady Shri Ram College nearby. I like Sports, Movies, Music, Dance and Travel.
That's your home!
The areas is clean and green, it has spaced out homes and a good crowd. All necessary facilities are available here and celebration of all festivals takes place at the VV club. The area faces water problems at times, roads are narrow and is expensive to stay.
Some eateries around the place are Basant Lok complex, Priya's ( McDonald's, Barista Cafe, Pizza Hut, Yo China, Chocola, CCD, PVR cinemas etc) CC block market ( Breads n More, Salad Chef, etc).
Autos are available everywhere. Talking about commuting, bus stands are at a nearby distance and the metro station is undergoing construction. Nearest metro station as of now is Hauz Khas. Overall, it's a lovely and chilled out place to stay.
