Mera Pyar, Shalimar!

Nicknamed as “Silent Posh Hub”, Shalimar Bagh is an upstate residential colony in the North West region of Delhi. There are several community pockets clubbed into blocks A, B, C and D that come together to form Shalimar Bagh. The richness of this place is not only iterated by beautiful bungalows and flats, but also by banquets with names like “Richie Rich” and “All Heavens”!

This place comes out to be one which has almost everything one could have asked for. Starting from good food to decent theaters, from good healthcare facilities to better schooling facility, you name it and it is there.

One of the finest, modern-cum-classical places of Delhi to live in. Simply superb.

I'm a student of KJSIMR and have been living here with my family for the past 7 years. I love watching movies and swimming. Everything is available nearby such as grocery, malls, gym, swimming pool, etc. But also, it's too much crowded, noisy and dirty. Shalimar Bagh has some renowned restaurants along with NSP Metro Hotels and nearby Delhi Baat to move out. There are too many cars; people don't use parking lots effectively - this is, in fact, the common problem with Delhi. Keep calm and stay happy in Shalimar Bagh!

Availability of daily convenience stores like grocery, chemist, etc. provide great ease to the residents. Transportation facilities include autos and buses more or less. Unsatisfied due to walking that extra mile when it comes to going to gyms and recreational centres.

In & Around

From the Urban Degchi Kitchen to Chawla’s Chic Inn, from Dada ji di Punjabi Rasoi to Linx in the Premier Inn, you have a lot of variety here! There are the usual Dominos, McDonalds and Café Coffee Day outlets as well.  The Haldiram’s outlet in the DLF City Centre Mall in Shalimar Bagh is pretty great too.

I'm pursuing my B.Tech from IP University and have been living in this place for about a year. I like living here as there are many facilities here. There are markets and cinema halls just close by. For hangouts there are various places ranging for street shops, cafes and hotels. There are also various clubs that I frequent with my neighbourhood friends. Traffic jam is the only unseemly thing about the place.
