Golf Course Road is named after the DLF Golf Course in the adjoining Sector-42. The sectors around Golf Course Road, apart from having a golf course, have a mix of commercial and residential plots! GCR area is however more famous for its commercial aspects. There’s the Genpact Building on the crossing, the Paras Twin Towers (there’s also the Paras Down Time center nearby), the Amex Building, EXL, EY and the list goes on...
Eating is not an issue at all. There is a wide assortment of restaurants here in the many great malls here, and otherwise. There’s the Bahi Kitchen Lounge Bar here which has a great ambience – perfect for post office chilling. Quick mention to Flip Café and India Grill Room, and Striker Lounge Bar. The first two being near the Audi Showroom and the latter being near the Merc Showroom.
I am an alumni of IILM, Gurgaon and recently shifted from my lovely college hostel to DlF Phase V. I love swimming, listening to music and love discovering new places to hand around and eat with my chums.
The area is best known for luxury living. Safety is top notch- I know I don't have to worry much as the security personnel do a tremendous job day in and day out. Also the place is very well managed and kept spick and span. Keeping aside the exception of having to pay a higher rent, once you start living here I bet you wouldn't want to shift anywhere else.
Just opposite my society is the Central Plaza which has a lot eating options like Dominoes, Subway, Bercos etc.. Good spot to stroll over to in the evenings.
Facilities are great. As for commute I would say it ain't that great but not that bad either. From my place its a short 5 minute walk to the main road, which I enjoy! The rentals are high though especially for complexes such as DLF Park place and The Summit. So its a good option to have a look in them if you enjoy living life king size.
