Turquoise Cottage, TGIF, Coriander Leaf, Vapour Pub & Brewery, Stone Ove La Piazza, Anarchy Pub & Brasserie … we could go on impressing you with names of eateries that excite your heart and stomach with the same fervor. That is MG Road for you. Wear your loose pants and get eating, that’s about all the advice we have for fooding experiences here!
I have been staying in a residential colony next to MG Road metro station since the last 2.5 years. I work in finance division of an MNC. Office is in Cybercity. I like reading, watching movies and eating out.
Strategically located, close to all malls, awesome connectivity
Metro is 2 min walk, so very easy to commute. Shopping and eating out places at stones throw. Easy access to public modes of transport. Most places in Gurgaon are within easy reach. The societies are quite premium in this area. The area is in the centre of all activity.
You'll never run out of eating out options in this area. TGIF Friday, Ruby Tuesday, Not Just Parathas, Haldirams,Coco Palm, Coriander Leaf (amazing restaurant), Khaja Chowk. Some of them are very good. Then there're also the food courts.
The traffic on weekends sometimes chokes. The crowd at the malls is not the greatest due to say access from metro station. Small shops for daily needs are not there. One needs to go to DLF Phase 2 market or Vyapaar Kendra. Facilities are good, easy access to many shops, particularly branded showrooms, big bazaar, auchaan. Commute is good if using public means of transport like metro, autos. Commute is not great if you want to travel by your own car as the road is sometimes choked near the malls and also at IFFCO Chowk.
