Of Farms & Houses

Palam Vihar is a special place, no doubt. It’s conveniently located (unlike so many other areas in Delhi NCR that are great but so far from everything) in between Delhi and Gurgaon! On top of it, it makes for an affordable neighborhood. If you want to live in a farmhouse, you have a bunch of options as well!

I've been working with Aakash Ceramics and living in Palam Vihar since last 18 years. I enjoy travelling. This place has greenery all around and parks in all the blocks. Also, there are many schools nearby and market right at the center of the place. The parks have all the required facilities. The best place to hangout is Sector 23 Market. I dislike the traffic mismanagement and parking issues. Rest, it's a perfect place to live in.

I am a Supr. Service Engineer at Air India. I have been working with this company since 1986. I have been a resident of Palam Vihar since 1997. I love to listen old songs, watch TV in the evening, and spend time with my family. I like the peaceful environment. At the same time, it has all the basic utility stores nearby. Though Ansal's Plaza is at a nearby distance, still the place is peaceful. People who come to Ansal's Plaza park their vehicle in our locality which creates a lot of problem for us. There should be a guard who can monitor these things also. There are a lot of places to hangout such as, Domino’s, Pizza Hut, McD, Pind Biluchi and Moti Mahal. Autos and rickshaws are available almost all the time. A peaceful and secured place where you can live for the rest of your life!

Public transport is easily available but the metro is not present. Daily utility stores are accessible without any hitches. There are no proper roads due to unauthorized colony structure, no gates and no parks. There are plenty of hangout places and eateries nearby.

The public transport service is very bad as there is nothing within 3kms. Daily stores are present but even they are at least 2km away from the locality. The streets are in bad shape and need maintainence. There are no hangouts close by. The drainage system is virtually absent and needs to be improved, as do the roads.

I'm a home maker and have been living here since last 18 years. I love to surf internet, watch TV, shop, and cook! Ansal's Plaza is just 5 minutes’ walk away from my house which is great because if I get bored I can just go to the mall and pass my time. There are many restaurants available like McD, pizza hut, Domino's etc. I dislike the skyrocketing auto fares. They are the only way of transportation and they are taking advantage of it. Autos and rickshaws are available all the time.

To get to the public transport you have to walk a bit as it is not very close. All the daily utility stores are at least 2kms away from the locality which can be troublesome. The hangout spots are close only by car and cannot be reached by walking. The drainage system and the roads need to be maintained.

In & Around

Whether you plan to dress up and eat at a fine dine restaurant, or you feel like ordering in, or if you want to go out for a quick bite in you pyajamas, there are all kinds of restaurants-dhabas-home delivery places here! Mostly easy on the pocket but if you want to splurge, you have the beautiful The Piano Man Café in the CK Farms.

I've been living in Palam Vihar for an year now because of my studies. The area is great for living, it has good roads and is very near to the airport. There are very few eating joints out here though. Places like Om sweets serve our stomachs well. Else only roadside food stalls are in plenty. Devoid of good and young hangout places. We have Ansal Plaza and sector markets for all type of needs.
